The first response to human trafficking and high risk youth in Denton, Wise, and Jack Counties

In 2022, Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas coordinated more than 100 cases of high risk youth, working to prevent further human trafficking in our region.

A Call To Action

In 2019, Governor Abbott’s office began an initiative to focus on the growing issue of child sex trafficking across the state of Texas (initiative goals pictured, left).

In 2020, we began coordinating cases with a new set of wrap-around protocols to serve victims of child sex trafficking. In addition, we began preventative efforts to curb part of the challenge - high risk youth, which frequently include victims of child abuse.

The Advocacy Center works alongside several partner agencies, including law enforcement, DFPS, CSEY advocates, the district attorney’s office, and more, to help coordinate care for these victims.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
