Training Institute

For professionals fighting crimes against children in Denton, Wise and Jack Counties.

About the Training Institute

The Training Institute at Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas is designed to equip professionals in the field of child abuse with timely and relevant trainings to help develop specialized skills.

The concept for the Training Institute was established out of the desire to share knowledge around the complexity of child abuse cases and to alleviate regional stressors. The Institute brings strong and relevant training to the area for those who need continuing education hours or TCOLE certification hours, child abuse case specific training, and/or support throughout case investigation and prosecution. With the knowledge that felony-level child abuse cases can be investigated, prosecuted, and supported over the span of years, the Training Institute was developed to continue and further education throughout the entire process utilizing our depth of professional staff (LPCs, Social Workers, Law Enforcement, and Educators) with training for investigators and mental health providers in evidence-based practices.
