Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas is a non-profit agency designed to provide child abuse victims with a comfortable environment that utilizes the multidisciplinary team approach for the prevention, detection, investigation, treatment, and prosecution of child abuse.

Our Internships

Interns receive supervision from our licensed and trained professionals and directly assist them with training, education, therapy, and outreach initiatives at the Advocacy Center.

*All internships are unpaid.

 

Counseling

Counseling Intern (Graduate Level)

For this practicum/internship opportunity, students will work with the Advocacy Center team to provide individual and group therapy/counseling to children and their non-offending family members. Counseling interns will use integrative therapy models and techniques as well as carry out trauma assessments. Family Advocacy

Family Advocacy Intern (Undergraduate Level)

Interns will engage in short-term case management as well as assess mental and social functioning of children and their family members. Apply to this internship through Rosario Garcia.
